THE - RIDD MILKING MACHINE 1 "New Plymouth, lfith April,'l9lo. The Ridd bilking Machine Co. New Plymouth. Dear Sir,—lt i 3 now over six rnohths ago since I installed one of your Three Bucket Plants, with a • 3-h.p. Watt Engine. I gave the order for the machine I looktd upon it as an experiment, rendered necessary by the difficulty in procuring labour. I am more than satisfied with the result. The cows took readily to the machine, and I am convinced t n&t, I ha 76 obtained better re3ult3 right through the season than if they had been milked by hand. '1 his I attribute to the regularity »nd tmooth nes3 with which the machine does its work as against when the COW 3 are milked by dfferent persons. The teats an udders have not sustained the slightest injury by the use of the machine, on the contrary the cows have not been troublsd with sore teats, as is often the case with hand milking. To sum up with, I look upon the use of the machine as giving as good or even better results than by hand miUrn:*, besides giving a great saving in time and The cows ara les? than half 'the time in the yard thin if milked by hoad, which is a great advantage. I have no hesitation in racomnmding pnyone wanting a machine to go in for a Kidd, or if they are in doubt to come and se3 mine at work. Lan *63 year 3of age, end have been dairying in Taranaki all my life so am not exactly a new chum at the Same. Tours faithfully, (Sd. AIKOJTM&BSH Agents : ilAtf SON V.ND BARB, Palmarston North.
SHEEP-FARMERS! WHEN you have read what Mr A Matthews, of Waiorongomai, says about WHITE'S SHEEP DIP, you should have no hesitation in using it. When addressing farmers at Master ton on Tuesday, October 6th, on "The History and Breeding of Romney Slieop," Mr Matthews stated, inter alia: "I have not seen a louse in my Eock for TWENTY years, and if at shearing a tick is seen it is such a RARE OCCURRENCE that the Bhearer is certain to call mv attention to it. I have just had over 500 ram hoggets shorn, AND NOT A TICK WAS SEEN AMONGST THEM, and I never dip more than ONCE during the year, and always early in the season." For the past FIFTEEN YEARS M Matthews has used WHITE'S SHEEP DIP ONLY, and the above testimony sets out its merits beyond question. Healthy sheep, well grown, lustrous fleeces, and no ticks or insect life to trouble your sheop are assured when you □36 WHITE'S DIP. The Waira'a - a Farmers' Co-operative Association win supply all particular and fulfil orders. Place a trial order today. Like Mr Matthews you Will never egret it ,
