TROUBLE WiTH THE BLACKS. Received June 29, 12.45 a.m. ADELAIDE, June 28. < The Warden at Tanami goldfielda in the Northern Terrinry, reports that twu prospe.tors, named Barnes and Leehay were speared by blacks. Barnes, i:i sdf-iefence, shot one black deal. The prospectors are not seriously waunle.l. WIDOWER'S TRAGEDY. A tragic event is reported from Ronje in the private hospital of Dr. Pestalpzza. Signora Pompili, whose poetical work had won for her a foremost place in contemporary Italian literature, had died duriug the night following an operation. Her husband, Signor Guido Pompili, a prominent politician, on learning of her ckatb. at the hospital, drew out a revolver, shot himself, and fell dead ove? His wife's body. Signur Pcxpili had three times been Under-Secretary of State, for Foreign Attair?, and wa* one ot the Italian delegates at the last Hague Peace Conference.
