Major Bruce'3 Southern Nigerian forces secured the surrender in a dense bush of the chief Nzjkwe and two hu dred of his followers. Lieutenant Chapman was killed at the last moment of the fight The chief's surrender with several towns terminates the trouble with the "Secret Ones" so their silent methods of fighting.
