The first day of the Napier Park Racing Club's Winter Meeting today was favoured with beautiful weather, and tne attendance vas large. The sum of £6,030 was passed throught the totalisator, as compared with £5,389 on the first day of last year. There were fourteen bookmakers on the ground, eight outsicO at £lO, and six inside at £2O 10s. Results: — Moteo Hack Hurdles, If miles. — Arc Light 9.0, 1; Oxton 11.5, 2; Millennial 9.7, 3. Also started.— Climax, Clareraont, atnd Explosive. Won by a bare neck. Explosion fell. Time 3min 26 45aec. Petane Hack, 7 furlongs.-—Rau-pare y.O, (carried 9.2,» 1; Royal Maid 9.4, 2; Amato 11 4, 3. Also started—Teotane, Dreadless, Rangikura, Bercola, Pumoana, GoHemar and Boyne Water. Won by a good head. Time liain 36 3-ssec. Steward's Stakes, 1 mile.— Ambrosian 9.2, 1; King's Lynn 9.0, ?.s■. Elfish 9.0, 3. Also stared—Kir Prises, Parable, LamsdorfF, Mataari and Te Ru. Sir Frisco was left at the post and took no part fn the race. Jockey Carmont was suspended till trie end of July for not trying to get him away. Won by half a length. Time'limn 49 3-s£ee. Napier Seeplechase, about 3 miles.
