Petersburg at the end of last tij :- !' n court martial, which sat with .ivsed doors, tried sixtyeight persons, of whom thirty-three were charged with armed robberies and other crimes, in the capital during the revolutionary period. Twentynine were sentenced to death, but it has now been decided to commute to penal servitude the sentences in eighteen cases. i
