CRETAN TROUBLE.

| United Press Association—By Electric Telegrap Copyright Received Jnne 20, 9.10 a.m ST. PETERSBURG, June 19. Foreseeing trruble and the ultimate re-occupation of, Crete, Russia has informally suggested that the Protecting Powers should forthwith send sufficient military forces to install a provisional regime under the'r (the Powers') direction, and thus appease the present feeling.
PROPOSAL WELCOMED.
Received June 20, 9.30 p.m. ST. PETERSBURG, June 20. The King of Greece welcomes the proposal for toe re-occupation of Crete. The Novfe Vremya says the proposal renders a calm settlement possible, and in view of the seriousness of the situation ought to commend itself to the Powers. Its execution would involve Russia in an expenditure of millions, which, however, would bs a premium of insurance on the peace of the Balkans.
