DEMENTED WOMAN.
KILLS A LITTLE GIRL. Received Juno 20, 11.0 p.m. SYDNEY, June 20. Elizabeth Quartiey, aged 65, infinned the police at Mo'iman that she had killed a IHtla gill. She acted strangely, and made a rambling 1 statement, and was promptly arrested on a charge of lunacy. Siibse quenlly a policeman visited the woman's house, and found the dead body of a girl nam fid Regiussiii with her thioat cut. The chiid hit homo for school this morning, and 'was to call at Quarllsy's housj lo pay the rent for the house of her parents, which was owned by Quartlej. The child had been dead for four or five hours when found.
