I TOWN HALL PICTURES. I There was a iarge audience at the j MaslerEon Town Hall last evening Ito witness' the final production of the "Cleopatra" programme, and ; every item was loudly applauded. TuI night there will he an entire change I of programme, when tne great hisI torical play "The Death Disc,'' (in the time of Oliver Cromwell) will be produced for the first time. The actors in this drama are possessed of historial talent above V.\° ordinary, and the play is presented with gracefulness and skill. A piece of splendid coloured scenery will be shown in "Shaffhausen," which attracted crowds in the large centres. A picture study entitled "Dorothy'd Motor Car,"will introduce something unique and new to Master to a a u'ieiiees, and the drama, "The Heir \o Claven Court Castle," will he fill oc incident. The comedy "The Trick that failed," is intensely humorous, as are also the comic productions "How he Mesmerised his Ma inlaw" and "A Family Outing at Luna Park." Several other interesting films wi!i be presented, and the tntire entertainment in fact, will be | a kinematographic treat. The new j programme will run until Saturday*
THE ELLWOOD TRIO. Mr Fred W. Duval, vino was for thirty years with our old friends "The Pollards," is now touring manager for the above combination. The date of the concert here is Monday next, June 20th, and judging by the lavish praise bestowed on these clever young New Zealanders by the metropolitan press there is a treat in store lor local music-lovers. "The Ellwoods" play violin, piano and 'cello; they are aged sixteen, fifteen and eleven respectively, and their repertoire consists of over one huny dred pieces as played by the greatest soloists of the world. They are supported by Miss Winnie Nixcn, another young New Zaalantler,. who has been winning golden tributes ftr her marvellous voice and artistic rendering of geni3 of melody. Mr Hugo Gorlitz, who "discovered" them, was nine years with Paderewski and six with Kubelik, ho that as an expert his opinion is invaluable. The box plans will be opened at The Dresden-Piano Company's on Friday Morning. Only one concert can be given here, as a farewell testimonial concert is being tendered to the Trio by the Citizens of Wellington at the Town Haii on Tuesday, June 21st.

The excellent programme now being produced at the Foresters' Ha!! continues to draw largo attendances. A unique picture shows the f<-ais ot two one-legged gentiamen. "Miss Ciai.k" is shown doing a trick jumping performance, in which she hops in and out of barrels placej in all sorts of awkward positions. "The Sins of the Fathers" gives in dramatic form what is likely to happen when two rival families participate in family feudr. "The Heroine of Mafeking" is the star picture of the ssries, and has nightly brought forth cheers. The comic subjects are in great force, and prove attractive, especially "Accompanied by the Tom-Tom," An Oriental caliph comes to London with hits retinue of tomtom playeis. A drunken ruffian me:tu the precession and starts to use the caliph as a punching apparatus. "Browir' c me ato the rescu?, I and, as a reward, is presented wifcii a tom-tom player. Brown's efforts to get rid of his dusky gentleman and his infernal tom-tom creates much amusement. "Calino"(who is replacing ihe lately deceased "Foolshead") has some extraordinary adventures during his travels in a hamper. "A leason in Economy" i 3 a humourous subject, showing how a newly-mar-ried couple tried to economise by dismissing their servant. Their attempts and failures in household work prove very ludicrous, and they finally acknowledge their foljy, and "Bridget" is reinstated. this series will be shown again this evening, and on Thursday a complete change of picI tures will be produced.-
