DROWNING FATALITY.
By Telegraph—Press Association. THAMES, June 9. At Cryer's Landing, Wharepoa, today, a young man named Alexander Rodgei'3, 20 years of age, a soi of a well-known resident of trn diatric, was drowned. About 5 a.m. he pro- ] cesded to the landing, and it is presumed he missed his footing while stepping on to the bojt, and fell into the water and was carried away by the current and drown;d, Seaich ha 3 been made for the body, but eo far without avail.
