- NAVAL ESTIMATES. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright. LONDON, June 9. In the House of Commons, the Fir&t Lord cf the Admiralty, Mr McKenna, in Committee of Supply on the Navy Estimates, announced that the Estimates would provide for a hospital ship, and he hoped that a second would follow. "FRANK AND STRAIGHTFORWARD." Received June 10, 9.10 a.m. LONDON, June 9. Discussing a proposal for a conference regarding the Constitutional crisie, The limea states;:—-"The Gov ernment's attitude is frank and straightforward. They are not going to take any action that might be construed as provocative." THE COMING CONFERENCE. Received June 10, 10.15 p.m. LONDON, June 10. Mr Wm. O'Brine, M.P., strongly favours the Veto Conference. A similar Conference, he thought, could easily effect a permanent settlement , ia Ireland. Mr T. P. writes that whatever pourparlers pass between the Government and the Unionists the results wiil not be binding, and must ultimately be submitted to the members of the three sections supporting the Government.
