In ppite of the wretched weather which prevailed last night, there was a very good audience at the Masterton Town Hali, to witness Messrs Hey ward, Ciark and Vsle's picture entertainment. The screen on this occasion was considerably larger than on the opening night, and the programme, which included several new films, was gone through with out a break or hitch. The same programme will bo repeated to-night for the last time, so that those who have not seen the Park of Cassera," the Indian drama, the Boy Scouts, the German Zoo, the Canadian winter sports,and the fine comic picturep, should avail themselves of the opportunity. , 7n the interval Miss Gwen Vile, who has alta»n3d a reputation in Wellington as an elocutionist. will recite "The Inventor's Wife." At the Saturday afternoon matinee, when children will be ad rr.itied for threepence and adults sixpence, there will be an entire change of programme, including a magnificsnt'coloured representation of "Cleopatra." Reserved seats for the nightly performances may be booked at Inns and Goddard's.

THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES

The Thompson-Payne Pictures, were last evening exhibited to a full house, despite the inclemency of the weather. Tte usual oharge of programme was presented. "Mount Etna in Eruption" shows the damage done by the lai'a streams .in Sicily. "Judgment" is a dramatic subject descriptive of the summary justice meted out to wrong doers in,the back woods of America. The adventure is enacted amid a typical ranchers' surroundings, and photographically is one of the best films shown for some time. The historical drama "Cagli ostra" and "Barry Training" were also shown. There is plenty cf comedy in the programme, including "Foolshead —Am I Mad?" "Ideal Army Life," "Brother Musicians," and "A Minstrel's Mishap."
