SENIOR. •EXCELSIOR v. CARTERTON. Played at Masterton and won by Excelsior by two goals to nil. The-i-Carterton team, who have won the Ssnior Championship for three years in succession, r.ever suffering defeat, were beaten by the Excelsior first eleven, on No. 2 ground, at I ansdowne, yesterday. Both Clubs had their beat teams on the field, and a capital exhibition of hockey was witnessed". From a determined rush, in which all the forwards participated, W. Minett shot <a fine goal, the whistle for half time sounding soon afterwards. C. Smith scored in the second half for Excelsior, and the game ended in their favour by two goals to nil. Excelsior is now the leading team in the Senior Competition. KNOX v. POST AND TELEGRAPH. Piayed at Masterton and won by Post and Telegraphs by two goais to one. The Post and Telegraph forwards played a splendid game, eventually pulling the match out of the fire for their team. In t';e first spell the only score was a goal bit by Reynolds for Knox. In the second spell Richards and Berry scored for Post and Telegraph, who thu3 won by two goals to one. Through Donald (halfback). being injured, Knox played with ten men for the last twenty minutes of the game. TvlrS.'A. No big-Campbell was rtfcrce.JUNIOR. , EXCELSIOR v. CARTERTON. Played at Masterton and won by Excelsior by four goals to one. The teams met on No. 4 groun J, when a very good junior game resulted. At half time the score was one to nil in Carterton's favour, but in ths sscnnci half Excelsior livened up and notched four goals. W. Oornblow (3) and C. Ashley (1) scored for Excelsior, and P. Dudson for Carterton. EXCELSIOK B. v. CAhTERTON B. Played at Masterton. The game ended in a draw —two goald each. P. Panipa and N. Fly scored for Excelsior and T. Major and J. Bentley for Carterton. ST. MATTHEW'S A v. S\ ' MAiTHEW'S B. Played at Masterton and won-by the A team by 13 goals to nil. B. Morris (6). R. Harding (4;, L. Boyd (2) and A. J.
