U STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Limited, report on their Masterton Stock Sale held yesterday as follows :—A yarding .of some two thousand-three hundred sheep and two hundred head of cattie was submitted. The quality of thd sheep for the most part being poor, we had a dull, dragging: sale, all lots, however, found purchasers before the lose of the day. Cattle met with better competition, and all lots, with he exception of one line of bullocks sold readily under the hammer. Quotations:— Sheep: Forward empty ewes, 8a lOd to 9s 3d; store ewes, 5s 6d to 6s 6d, ewes in lamb, 10s to 10s Id; poorer sorts. 63 6d to 7s 6d; lambs, of which there was a large yarding, made from 7a to 8s 4d for best.; others 4s 5d to fis culls, 2d 7d. Cattle: Cows in milk, £7, 7a 6d, springers £5 10s, two and a half to three year steers £4 14s to £5 13s, eighteen months. steers £2 7s 6dl to £3 ss. Pigs:*blips 8s to 10s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report: — £ At Woodville on Monday, 6th instant, we only had a small yarding of sheep and cattle, but cleared the bulk of the entry at good values. At Pahiatua on Tuesday, 7th instnt, we submitted a fair yarding to good attendance of farmers. Competition was not so keen, but °we made good clearance at eatisfactory'prices. Quotations—At Woodpile: Springing dairy cows, to £5 Is; heifers in calf, £3 8s; Forward empty cows, £2 9s to £4 la; young ewes in lamb, 12s; woolly lambs, 9a 6d; shorn lambs, 8s 4d. At Pahiatua. F.m. ewea in lamb, 6s, store wethers, 12s sd; lambs, 3s 9d to 7s 1.1; 3JyearJ steers,i£ss ss; dairy cows in calf, £3los to £5; heifers in calf, £3*ssto £4 2s 6d; fat cows, £4 10s to £4s; forwaid empty cows, £3 6s to £4; store cows, £2 Is tu £3 4s 6d; empty heifers, 39s 6d to £2 10s; weaners, 22s 6d to 39s 6d; balls, £2 Is to £3 103.

Prime heavy "bullocks, £lO to £lO 2s 6d; lighter, £9 10s to £9 15s; others, £8 17s 6d to £y ss; small vealers,flsa to 22s 6d; prime wethers, 18s 9d to 19s Id; prime ewes, 16s 4d; good ewee, 15s to 15s 4d; prime lambs, 123 6d to 15s 3d.
