Tiie Cnlon'fii Ammunition Company, of Auckland, hhh presented a 22 s.s. 1902 model rifle to the local Gun Club for competition. A dance under the auspices of the Social Cliib #t Glads ten;; was held ther« large attendance and a thoroughly tnprogramme. In addition, to vocal kemy, two dialogues were contribuUrf, entitled "Wouing Under Difficult a;!," and "Wasting Away." The masic for the evening wa3 sup-, plied liy Mr A. G. Mason. The rain of Sunday has had a very freshening effect upon the surrounding country.
