KEPORTED SAFE. • GOVERNOR'S DEPARTURE DELAYED. Bv Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 6. The non-appearance or the turbine steamer Maheno from Sydney caused some uneasiness in Auckland tn-day. The steamer Itft Sydney at 2 p.m. on Wednesday last, and was due hero yesterday wonting. Late this afternoon, however, a telegram was received from Capo Brett jjtaling that the MaheiiO had passed there at 4.30 p.m. She is expected to reach port about midnight. The departure cf the Governor tor Sydney haa consequently been postponed until to-nu»rrow night. Sydney cables have reported frightful weather on the Australian Coast during the past few days, so I that apparently the Maheno got a severe dusting after leaving Sydney.)
