STOCK REPORT. By Telegraph—Special to the Age. JOHNSONVILLE, June I. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report regarding their Johnsonville sale as follows:—We offered a heavy yarding of prime cattle and sheep, which sold readily at the' following prices: Prime heavy bullocks, £lO 5s to £lO 10s; priite bullocks, £9 10s to £9 15s lighter, £8 17s 6d to £9 ss; prime heavy vealers £2 to £2 17s; lighter, 38s to 395; small, £1; prime wethers, 17s to 17s 6d; prime ewes, 16s 6d; good ewes, 14s to 14s sd, to 15s; plain ewes, 12s 6d to 12s 9d; prime lambs, 12s 3d to 12s sd; woolly 13s 3d 10 14s 4d.
MASTEKTON STOCK SALE REPORTS.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report at their fortnightly sale at the Waipoua yards yesterday, the entries in sheep were mostly of an inferior class, and with a dull market a number of lots were passed out as not reaching owners' reserves, and had to be dealt with privately afterwards. In cattle we had a full yarding, and the quality baing good throughout, and with a strong demand, we were enabled to make a clearance at sound rates. In breeding ewes good sound ewes in lamb reached 10s, inferior sorts 7s 6d. forward empty ewes 8s» empty ewes 5s to 6s, boilers 3s 6d to 4s, best ewe lambs 9s Bd, forward lambs ) Bs, store lambs 5s to 6s, prime fat ewes 12s 6d, medium 10s. In cattle' a line of forty store buliocks made £6 Bs, 2yr steers £3 10s, 18 months GOs, a line of fifty weaner steer calvaa 535, forty weaner heifer calves 38c?, stoie cows 40s to 50s. Messrs Dalgety and Romany. Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at Masterton in their Waipoua yards, when they offered a full yarding well above advertised numbers, of both cattle and sheep, and considering the time ot the season was exceptionally good. The cattle entry comprised some very good lines, the quality all through being much superior to anything coming forward for the last six months, some exceptionally good lines of 2 year steers going under the hammer, Competition for this class of cattle was keen, which was case of the 3yr bullocks and quite a number of buyers left the yards after the sale with their requirements unfilled. We quote as follows:—Sheep.—Forward lambs, 7s, 7s 7d to 8s Id; fat and forward ewes, 7s, Bs, lis, to lis 3d 2-tcoth wethers, lis 3d, 11$ 5d to lis lid. Cattle. —Two off steers, £4 Bs, £4 14s to £4 14a 6d; 3 off steers to £5 15s;' empty cows, £2 6s, £2 lis to £2 15s; heifers in calf, £3 3s, £3 8s to £3 J.2s; 18 months steers, £2 lis to £2 13s; cows in calf, £3 6s to £3 10s.
