GOVERNOR FAREWELLED.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 1. Lord Plunket's farewell took place at the Town Hall this evening. The hali as filled by a representative gathering, including the Premiei, the Hor.s. Carroll and Buddo, local M.P.s, the Mayor of Wellington, and Mayors and Councilors of the surrounding districts. The Governor, in the couise of a farewell speech, said his term bad on the whole been one of prosperity in the Dominion. He also referred to the great loyalty of New Zealanders to the Throne.
