THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. A well filled house greeted the pictures at the Poresteis' Hall last night. The various subjects were received in a way that left no doubt of their popularity. The extensive alterations to the hall are nearly completed, and the management expects to place the screen in its new position for Thursday evening's change of programme. The sheet is to be moved 20ft back from its present position. The new Pathe Freres projecting apparatus which Messrs Thompson and Payne are using is the very latest model,! and gives an extremely steady and clear picture, and with the screen placed in a suitable position a large picture will ba produced.
