PRICE OF MEAT.
GREATLY INCREASED BY SHORT SUPPLIES. Received May 31, 9.10 p.m. LONDON, May 31. The National Federation of Meat Traders' Association announces greatly increased prices in meat owing to short supplies of cattle and largely reduced arrivals from the United States. Canadian live stock retailers are obliged to raise the prices, and there are no indications that meat will be cheaper for some time.
