ON THE ROCKS.
WITH 1,200 EMIGRANTS ABOARD. ' Received May 31, 12.30 a.m. LONDON, May 30. The Russian steamship Lituiana, with 1,200 emigrants for New York, ran on the rocks off the Orkney Islands, in a dense fog,, gThe steamer's bows were smashed, and a panic occurred among the passengers. Many sank on their knees, and prayed. The foe lifted, arid the Lituiana was refloated. Her watertight compartments kept the water from the main hold until she reached the Tyne in safety. ,' ■ ■
