During the, progress of a bull fight at Saratarem, Portugal, a maddened bull leaped the barrier. The guards were uriable to shoot the animal owing to a panic stricken crowd surrounding them. Many persons were trampled on, forty being severely injured. The bull escaped to the open country. \ ■.
