It is reported from India that there is a remarkable modification of opinion among the Bengalis regarding the partition of the Province ot Bengal, which at first evoked violent opposition. Moveover, those Anglo-Indian newspapers hitherto opposed to partition now admit that the new province has derived great benefit therefrom. The Times considers that the agitation against partition has collapsed.
