BIG DAIRY SHOW.

An idea of the magnitude of the National Dairy Show machinery display at Palmeiston North, to be held on June 21st, 22nd. 23rd, and 24th next, may be gathered from the amount of space required by some forty exhibiting firms. The No. 1 machinery halls is two hundred feet long j rd sixty feet wide,. The space is arranged with two avenues and four frontages making eight hundred feet; the shafting supplies a double frontage of 400 feet, driven by a 42 power engine. Further or, the No. 2 hall is also useJ for power driven machinery, separators, etc. This is 40 feet by 60 feet. The No. S hall is 200 ft by 60ft, and is also partly uaed for machinery. The visiter will be able to inspect (he most up-to-date churns, butter woikers, both imported and of New Zealand manufacture. A large variety of working separators will form psrt of the Exhibition, and improved hoist* in the! way of lifting cream cans for dairy factories will be seen working. On account of the rapidly increasing process of pasteurisation of milk, cream and skim milk, various pasteurisers of different descriptions will make a prominent and interesting fpature. Milking machinery is naturally going to b2 a groat draw to the farming community, and with the fine exhibition of cows milking by machinery arranged by various firms, the display will be extremely useful to any man who intends installing' a machine for the coming year. Oil en- j eines, refrigerators, and various uther motors will be plentiful, s»nd it is understood some exhibitors have imported the veiy latest type of motors whereby the horse power speed can bereguhed, making it possible to get more oi less horse power as required in the same machine. This type of machine has so far never been exhibited, and will be very interesting to watch. r Jhe increasing necessity of looking after stock during the winter time will account for various firms making an exhibit of stock foods, and there is not the slightest doubt that the farmer is recognising their value. Tne exhibitors aie representative of manufacturers in mostly all countries, and the display will be the biggest International Exposition of lr.odern dairy machinery sscn in Australasia. »w,t«
