ANGLO-JAPANESE EXHIBITION.

NATIONAL ART TREASURES

The Anglo Japanese Exhibition was opened without ceremony by Prince Fushimi.
Several hundreds of workmen completed preparations yesterday. The exhibits include extraordinary illustrations of Japanese Wonderland, including scenery representing the four seasons, a beautiful model of MiyaJima, specimens'of superb architecture, andcarvings covering twentyfive centuriep, and national history. Splendid national ait treasures sent by the Mikado are among the surprises of the Exhibition.
The newspapers are enthusiastic over the unique spectacle, noting every portion of th 3 Japanese section, which is wondeifully clever and picturesque. There are two thousand private Japanese exhibitors.
