METEOROLOGICAL.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hoars preceding 9 a.m. on Friday was 13 points. The total for May to date is 1,34 inches.
WEATHER FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 13. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follow:—The barometer has risen in tne northern districts, but nas fallen in the southern. In most parts the weather has been unsettled, bat improved to-day. Strong southerly winds have prevailed in the north, and variable winds in the South. Present indications are for strong westerly wincb generally, with rough weather inCook and Fuveaux Strait. The barometer will probably fall again in the north after 24 hours, and be very unsteady, in the south unsettled weather is expected.
