Messrs J. E. Blade and Co. report a fair attendance at their weekly sale on Saturday. There was only a small entry of aged and inferior horses, of which they sold three at satisfactory prices. There w j < n'> pi s br >■ ght in, but there were several inquiries, also for cows in mils and to calve. There was a large entry of poultry, which sold the hammer. The firm quote as follows:—Horses up to £4 10s; roosters, 3s; hens, from 2s to 3s; pullets, small 2a; coc - kerels, 2* 6d to as, all at per pair. Hawke's Bay apples trom 2s 6d to 6s per half bushel and bushel cases; pumpkins at f d per lb. As the firm intend to hold these sales everj Saturday. farmers are reminded that it is to their benefit to bring along their produce, horses, or anything they have for sale.
