In connection with the statement of accounts submitted by the Town Clerk at the last meeting of the Masterton Borough Council, it has been pointed out to us that in reference to the gas undertaking, that although at the conclusion of the year the account closed with a credit balance of £1,250 16s 9d, there are some outstanding liabilities, the precise amount of which is at present unascertaiuable.

The Friendly Societies' seven-aaide football tournament will be held today, on the Masterton Showgrounds. Seven teams will compete, including the Carterton champions of last year.
