EKETAHUNA stock report
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report:—At our weekly sale at Kketahuna yesterday we offered a light entry in both sheep and cattle. The sheep entries were mostly of inferior class, and business wag ratiicr dull under the hammer. All, however, were sold betore the close of ihe day. In cattle some good bullocks, fat cows and stores were offered, all selling at rates quite up to recent markets. Aged ewes made from 6s Gd to 7s, culled sorts 4s, medium Jambs 6s 6d very forward bullocks £(j 2s 6d, 2\ y r steers £3 18s yearlings 40s, best fat cows to £5 10s, others £4 15s, store cows 403 to 455.
LUNDON MARKETS. I'he New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cable from their London house.—Tallow, —We quote present spot values for the following descriptions - —Good Mutton, 37s per cwt; Good Beef, 36s 6d per cwt; Mixed, 35s 3d per cwt Market quiet.
