Received May 7, 12.35 "a.m. SYDNEY, May 5.

Advantage was taken of the presence in Sydney of a number of New Zealand bbwlers—Messrs Broughton, Auckland; Steele, Ballot and Smart, New Plymouth—to play three friendly matches. Tne first ended in favour of the visitors by 35 to 16. The second waa won by the local men by 23 to 20, and the third resulted in a draw.
