THE TARANAKI ACCIDENT
NO LIVES LOST.

"Baby" Hill and H. Collins, two cf the victims of the bush felling accident at Omoana, were brought into Eltham at 6 o'clock this morning. An examination made by Dr. Harrison, at midday, disclosed that no bones were broken, but the patiencs are suffering- from a severe squeezing. Hill's back being badly bruised The two patients are inmates of a private hospital, and may take some weeks to recover. The thirl man, who is thought to be only slightly injured, ia dot under medial attention.
The accident occurred yesterday morning, Hill being pinned by a dry tree on the face of a steep cliff, while his two mates, in endeavouring to effect his rescue, were also injured. Great difficulty was experienced in securing help and medical assistance, the scena of the accident occurring in a portion of Taranaki'a almost inaccessible back-blocks.
