It is reported that a sheet of flame suddenly shot forth from the mouth of the Palon coal mine, to-day. There was instantly report, and the clerk, full y a hundred yards away, was instantly killed. Three bodies Imve been recovered. Rescue work has been temporarily abandoned owing to black damp.
