DR. HENRY'S MISSION.

The Mission Party, including Dr., Mrs and Miss Ilenry, Mr and Mrs C. A. Potts, and a number of local workers, motored to Carterton, yesterday afternoon, and conducted a meeting organised there by Pev. Laurence Thompson, in the Victoria Hall. There was a large attendance, and at the close of his address Dr. Henry made an earnest appeal for an open confession of Christ, w>th gratifying results. At 4 p.m. the children's demonstration was held in the Masterton Town Hall, there beiag an audience of about five or six hundred, of which the great majority were children, Mr Potts conducted the singing, Mrs Potts accompanying. Dr Henry delivered an address especially selected for children, urging the latter to strive to realise that they were "God's children'.' Mr Potis sang very impressively an apropnate solo, entitled "The Children's I Friend."

The evening service in the Town Hall was very largely attended. Probably, the fact of. its being tue laat meeting of the Masterton campaign was responsible for this. The proceedings began with a converts meeting, and all those who have made confession during the mission assembled in the front of the hall. Dr. Henry spose briefly to the gathering, and afterwards presented each of them with a book.

The service proper followed, and Mr Potts again conducted and sang several solos. Dr. Henry delivered a brief but powerful address on "The subject of the half-way house," as the result of which some fifty persons came forward of their acceptance of Christ.

The Mission Party, together with the members of the local Executive, their wives, and a few friends, were entertained at the Methodist School' room. Brief speeches of thanks were delivered by the local ministers, and Dr. Henry and his party were thanked for the great work they have accomplished in Masterton. Dr Henry, who leaves with his party for Auckland this morning, briefly responded.
