For the races on the second day of the Marlborough meeting, fine weather prevailed. Results: — Hurdles. —Pearl Reef and Glen dead heat 1; Gaelic also with Circus Girl, 2. Time 3min 21sec. Telegraph Handicap.—Glenspring, 1 Toanga 2, Mon Ami 3. All started. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 15 2-s&ec.

Omaki Handicap. Wild Bird 1, Leolanter 2, Rongomai 3. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 29 4-ssec. President's Hadnicap, —Lady Medallist 1, Waikaraka 2, Lawn Rose 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 58sec. Riverlanda Handicap.—Lace Collar 1, Anuapoi 2, Balmy Breeze 3. Won by half a length. Tims, 49 3-5, sec.

Seddon Welter. —St. Felix 1, Curator2, Leolanter 3. Won by a neck. Time, lmin 16 2-ssecs.

Final] Welter.— Penza 1, Wild Bird 2, Repeat 3. Won by a length. Time, lmin 16sec.

The totalisator returns for. the meeting showed £9,826 put through as against £8,757 at the last Autumn meeting. The aggregate bookmakers' fees were £368

OTAKI MAORI RACING CLUB. In another column the programme for the winter meeting of the Otaki Maori Racing Club is published. The dates for this fixture, which has ever been a popular one, are June 3rd and 4th next, and everything points towards the meeting being one of the i..ost successful ever held. Seven events will bf run each day, so a perusal of the programme will reveal the liberal nature of the stakes. Nominations for all events, except the Maiden Flat Race and Final Hack Sourry, close at the Club's office, Otaki, on Friday, May 13th, at 8.30 p.m.
