The Marine Court suspended the certificate of Captain Hugill, master of the ill-fated Satara, for six months.

STRICTURES BY JUDGE BACK-

HOUSE,

Received May 5, 9.3 p.m. SYDNEY, May 5. Captain Hugill's suspension will date from the day of the wreck. Judge Backhouse declared that the custom of handling vessel* going through Torres Straits over to the charge of a pilot directly they left port, was not justified either by law or good navigation.
