COMMERCIAL.
STOCK MARKET. Messrs Ealgety and Co., Ltd., re port having held their usual fortnightly sale at their Taratahi yarda yesterday, when an exceptionally large entry of sheep came forward, the quality being well up to the standard, but buyers were not well represented, and bidding was not so keen in consequence. Very few cattle came forward. We quote as follows:—Sound mouth ewes in lamb, 9s 6d, 10s to-14s; fat and forward ewes, 9s 3d, 10s; f.m. ewes to 8s 6d % : shorn lambs, 5s 3d, 5s lid to 6s 9d; woolly lambs, 4a Id, 5s lid to 9s 2d.
