The newspaper "Observer" states that in consequence of McCarthy's death, an effort will be made in America ,to secure a declaration that the Jeffries Johnson fight will be illegal.
Methodist Ministers in San Francisco have called a conference wRh the object of forcing the Governor to intervene to prevent the JeffriesJohnson fight.
