LEPERS RUN AMOK.
AFTER DRINKING RUM,
Received May 2, 10.15 p.m. CAPETOWN, May 2,
The lepers on Robin Islands, off Capetown, . found a four-gallon keg of rum washed up on the beach, and consumed it.
They afterwards ran amok, and the convict guards and officials had the utmost difficulty in quelling the outbreak. Three of the lepers subsequently died.
