MASTERTON PARLIAMENTARY DEBATING SOCIETY.
A well n» tender! meeting of the Mastevton Parliamentary Debating Society was held in the Hall, above Mr J. L. Murray's shop, last evening, Mr J. C. Cooper presiding. The rules of therlSociety were read, and adopted without alteration.
The election of the Premier re- | suited in Mr G. R. Sykes bsing choEen, and his choice of a Cabinet was as follows:—Mr J. R. l/ole (Bay of Islands), Mr D. Hebe»ton (Waira- ! rapa), Mr 0. Praenell (Wellington North), Mr J. Hunter (Waipawa), Mr H. M. Boddington (Bruca), and Mr H. Evans (Hawke's Bay). Messrs J. Rup, E. Pragnell and Flannagan were electsd a Parliamentary Committee. It was decided to open Parliament on Monday next, when the Governor's address will be delivered, and Mr J. T. M. Hornsby is to be asked to deliver an address on Parliamentary procedure en that even-
ing. It was decided to procure suitable literature to bo laid on th 3 table. A hearty vote of thanks to Mr G. R. Sykes concluded the meeting.
