The local FootbalLCJub will hold a practice game on the Keserve tomorrow afternoon, at 3 p.m. All the members are requested to attend. The annual meeting of the Skating Club was held in the Drill Hall flast night. It was decided to rink on Thursday of each week, beirg the most suitable night, and] to engage the band for a season of three months. Mr G. Romer Ulrich was re-elected secretary.

The Arbitration proceedings in connection with the recent slander action Walsh and Tumor did not terminate until a very early hour this morning Ihe rinding of the court was: That Mr Walsh had failed to prove his case against Mr Turnor, and as ordered to pay all costs.

The Pahiatua Hockey team have arragtd a game with the Masterton Club on May 7th. A practice will be held on the grounds to-morrow. STOCK MARKET.

In cattle all good-cunditioned cows, steers and strong calves, found a ready market, but poor and |weak sorts were hard to quit. In eweß and lambs two-tooths made lis 6d; aged ewes, sound, up to 7a 6d; poor class, ss; boilers, 2s 6d. In lambs we offered all classes, prices for which were easier. Beat quality 7s 6d; medium, 63 to 6s 6d; fair sorts, ss; cull 3, 3s 6d; 2£-year steers, £4 7s 6d; yearlings, 40s; fat cows, £4 2s 6d; forward cows, 70s; store cow.-, 45s to 555; dairy heifers, 2 years, good, £3 10s.
