OFFERS FKUM ABROAD.

New Plymouth people were keenly interested to day in the fact that the directorate of the Taranaki Petroleum Company was sitting almost continuously throughout the day considering cabled offers from abroad for the purhase of the company's interests.
At a late hour to-night they adjourned without having come to a decision, and will meet again to-mor-row. It is stated, semi-offieially, that an excellent offer has been made, and one that the shareholders would jump at, but the terms of the offer are such that the directorate will probably not wait for the sharehol '.- ers' confirmation.
