DR HYDE'S TRIAL.
STORIES ABOUT POISON
Received April 28, 11.45 p.m. NEW YORK, April 28,
In connection with the charge against Dr Hyde of murdering Colonel Swope, a millionane, Brecklin, a druggist, and three assistants, produced books and testified that Dr Hyde bought capsules of cyanide of potassium in September and December.
Brecklin once telephoned and asked Hyde to verify the order. Hyde replied that he wanted the poison to kill dogs. Doctor Stewart, a bacteriologist, testified, that he supplied Dr Hyce with cultures of typhoid germs in November and December. After this evidence Hyde was removed in custody, the court refusing to grant further bail.
