Mr Fred Moore, a former resident of the district, but now of Wanganui, is at present h visitor to Masterton.
The Rev Watsso,-of S. Matthew's Church, Masterton, returned last evening after an enjoyable holiday at the seaside.
Mr D. Crewe, the retiring Mayor of Pahiatua, who has occupied the Mayoral chair for the past six years, contemplates paying' a trip to the Old Country nt an early date.
. .Mr W. W. McCardle, jnr., who was-elected unopposed a» Mayor; of, PahJatua* is. an, .old> Mr McCardle has been a Councillor of the Pahiatua Borough Council for close on fourteen consecutive years, and has several tiroes been chairman of the Works Committee of that Council.
