AN AUCKLAND COMPANY.

At an extraordinary meeting of the P'ergusnn Mining and Smelting Company the chairman stated that £I,OOO was required to discharge certain liabilities. He thought it best to wind up creditably, without sacrificing thsir plant. He moved that the company be wound up voluntarily. Mr de Renzy offered to find £25,000 within six months for continuing operations if ihc capital was written down, and a proposal for reconstruction having been moved, the meeting adjourned for a week.
