The many friends of JMr J., D. Cruickshank will be pleased to hear that, he has sufficiently recovered fmm his accident, as to be able to resume light duties at his. office.

Mr W. Perry, of Penrose left for Wellington yesterday,to superintend the shipping of his four Lincoln rams, by the s.s. lonic, which leaves Wellington on Thursday next. The sheep are being shipped to the Argentine, and will be entered for competition at th*e Argentine Centennial Show.

Tha Premier, Sir Joseph Ward, will open the new bridge at Kairewarewa, Rangitikei. today. Tomorrow Sir Joseph will open a new post office at Wereroa, Manawatu. He will also inspect the land near the coast, in the vicinity of Levin, where the sand nuisance is alleged to be prevalent.

A pretty wedding took place at Brooklyn, Wellington, on April 9th, when Mr E. Bone, of Horsham England, was married to Miss E. V. M. Haskell, daughter of Mr G. Haskell, Wellington, late of Masterton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev J. K. Elliott. Mr and Mrs Bone left by the Moana for their future heme in Sydney, and carry with them the good wishes of their many friends.
