GERMAN BLACK BREAD.
During the elections the German black, or rye bread, played a prom inent part in the arguments of the Radical candidates. On the suggestion of Lord Claud Hamilton, the new Unionist M.P. for North Kensington, the Kitchen Committee of ttie House of Commons has included the German bread among the items of refreshment obtainable in the tearoom, and Lord Claud and neveral friends had it with tea. After the meal it was declared that the muchabbused article Was reaJ'y excellent i —in fact superior to much of the white bread consumed in this country, and certainly more nourishing,
