THE MISSING PROSPECTOR.

.ANOTHER UNSUCCESSFUL / SEARCH. A PIPE AND SOME SPECIMENS, FOUND. The party of thirteen which left Masterton early yesterday morning ■to search for the missing prospector, Thomas Donnelly, returned list evening, after an unsuccessful quest. The party, headed by Constable Browr, of Mastertm, mads a iihorougi search of the country on both sides ot the river, ( near Donnelly's camp, ani the only traces found were a pipe similar to the one 'Donnelly was suposed to have, and :some specimens. The weather <*aa tfery rough all the time the party were away, drenching rain falling continually, which made the lot of the willing searchers none too pleasant. All members of the party speak very highly of the hospitable treatment received from Mr and Mrs Thomsen, who supplied the members of the party with hot meals, and means of drying tb?ir clothes—acts of kindness which were greatly appreciated.
