FATAL INJURIES WHILE RIDING A RACE. Received April 11, 10 a.m. LONDON, April 10. While riding in the Parliamentary Steeplechase at Epping, Mr James Tomkinson, Liberal M.P. for Crewe Division of Cheshire, was thrown from his horse. He fell on bis head. After being insensible for some time he recovered consciousness, and some hopes for his recovery were entertained. However, he succumbed to his injuries.
