SIR JOHN BICKSOirPOYNDEB By Telegraph—Press Association* WELLINGTON, This Morning.' Sir John Dickson Poynder succeeds Lord Plunket as Governor of Near Zealand. Sir John Dickson-Poynder, 6th Bt. D.S.O 1900; J.P.; M.P. (C) Cnip§ . penham Div. Wilts since 1892; born ie 1866, he succeeded his uncle to the title in 1884. He was educated at Harrow and at Christ Church, Oxford} and assumed the name of Poynder on tucceeding to his maternal uncle's property, in 1881. He is Major in the Wilts Yeomanry, and served in South Africa in 1900 and is a late LietenI ant 3rd Royal Scots.
