STOCK MAREKT
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sales at their Masterton yards, yesterday, when they offered a good yarding of sheep and cattle well above advertised numbers. Buyers for all classes of stock attended the sale, and we are pleased to report a good clearance. The yarding consisted mainly of aged ewes and backward lamba, wh ch s >ld well up to late rates We quote Shorn lambs, 5s 6d, 6s. 6s 3d, 6s 6J, 7s 7d to 8s 3d; woolly lambs, good, 8s 6d to 9s 3d, small, 5s 4d to 6s 21; ewes, full-mouth, 4s lid, 5s 4d, 5s 8d to 7s 4d; 2-tooth ewes, 9s to 10s 2d; 2 and 4 tooth wethers 12s 5d to 12s 6d; Shropshire rams, 1£ to lgn. Cattle: 18-month steers, £2 7s 6d to £2 12s; 2-year steers, £3 10s to £3 12d 6.i; 3-year steers, 53s to £5 9s 6d; cows in calf, £4 to £4 8s; fat and forward cows, £3 6s to £3 15s. Horses; Hacks, £8 10s to £9 2s 6d.

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Wellington, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sales as follows:—We offered 'a guod yarding of prime sheep and cattle, which sold at late rates. Best bullocks made £8 5s to £8 7s 6d, lighter £7 17s 6d to £8 2s 6d, vealers 21s to 38s. Prime wethers, 16s; good 14s 8d to 15s; extra prime heavy ewes, 18s sd; prime heavy ewes, 15s to 15s 9d; prime ewes, 10s lOd; medium ewes, 12s 4d to 12s sd; woolly lambs, lis Id; shorn, 9s to 10s.
