METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph- Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 6. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast is as follows—The barometer has risen everywhere,and moderate to strong southerly winds have prevailed. Squal.y and unsettled weather has been experienced in the southernmost districts, but elsewhere the weather has been fine. Present indications are for a further rise in the barometric pressure.Moderate to strong southerly winds pre dominating, with fair weather, days warm, and nights cool, in most parts of the country. In the extreme South, however, the weather is likely to be somewhat unsettled, as a disturbance is due there to-morrow, and will probably pass avay in higher latitudes, and it* influences extend further North.
